Creative Ways to Keep Current Customers and Gain NEW Clients:
The economy is challenging. How are you doing maintaining your income levels and profits? Because I care in your business success, I wanted to share some ideas I have collected on how you can brand your company uniquely. Here are some ideas - I hope at least one will be helpful!
- Create a referral program. Whoever refers the most people either gets a gift card or you can donate to their favorite charity in their name. (Everyone wins!)
- Show your joy in your daily work. People want to purchase from someone who loves what they do!
- Donate services/products to an auction or raffle.
- Blog - show your expertise!
- Reach out to current or past clients for more business. Make sure your clients know all the services and products available.
- Follow up, follow up, follow up!
- Find strategic partners that compliment your business. Refer back and forth as there is a need.
- Make sure you say thank you to your customers. Send cards, notes, small gifts.
- Create a monthly newsletter to keep in communication with your clients. Build relationships!
CA State Tax Increases:
The State of California has reduced the credit for dependents. The change will increase taxes by $210 per child. The dependent credit was $309 each child and will decrease to $99 each child. A family will really feel the affect if there are multiple dependents.
The important information to relay is for parents to plan for this increase in tax. You can plan for it by making sure you are withholding enough state taxes or pay additional estimated tax payments.
The State of California also raised all tax rates by one-quarter of 1 percent. A married couple with $100,000 in taxable income that paid $4689 last year will pay $4939 next year - an increase of $250!
Plan ahead so there are no surprises!
