Transparent pricing for bookkeeping you can actually trust.
No tiered packages designed to upsell you. No bait-and-switch quotes. Just clear pricing for clean, accurate books that arrive when promised, every month.
Most pricing pages tell you what you’ll pay.
Ours tells you what you’ll get.
We’ve been doing bookkeeping for small businesses since 2001. Below you’ll find honest pricing for every service we offer, along with exactly what’s included, what isn’t, and who we’re the right fit for.

How We Handle the Day-to-Day
We provide historical bookkeeping, which means we review and reconcile the prior month’s transactions in the current month. We don’t manage day-to-day AR or AP at your business, but that doesn’t mean you’re on your own. If your transaction volume is low and you’ve been handling deposits, invoicing, and bill pay yourself, you can keep doing that. We’ll handle the detail work behind the scenes, properly coding and matching every entry so your books stay clean. Our team can even train you on the fastest way to handle these tasks and set up reports that show which bills need to be paid.
Quarterly Bookkeeping
Same comprehensive bookkeeping service as our monthly option, just delivered on a quarterly cadence instead. For businesses with lower transaction volume and activity, this can be a more affordable way to stay organized and tax-ready without paying for monthly service you don’t need.
Not every business qualifies. We’ll review your transaction activity during a free consultation and let you know if this option makes sense for you.
See If You QualifyQuarterly Bookkeeping

Are we the right fit for your business?
We’d rather tell you upfront than waste your time and ours. Here’s who we work well with, and who we don’t.
We’re a strong fit if you:
Most of our best client relationships start here.
- Have 25 employees or fewer and gross between $250K and $10M annually
- Run a service-based business (professional services, consulting, real estate, construction, medical, legal, marketing, IT, non-profit, etc.)
- Either have someone handling day-to-day AR and AP, or have low enough volume that you can manage deposits and bill pay yourself with our guidance
- Want your bookkeeping done remotely and are comfortable working over email
- Are willing to use QuickBooks Online as your accounting platform
- Don’t require inventory tracking or job costing inside QuickBooks Online (handling these outside QBO is fine)
- Want your bookkeeping and tax strategy aligned year-round, not just at filing time
We’re not the right fit if you:
No hard feelings. We’ll help you figure out what’s right.
- Need someone to actively deposit checks, pay bills, or chase down invoices on your behalf
- Want bookkeeping done at your office, in person
- Need to stay on QuickBooks Desktop or another platform long-term
- Need inventory tracking or job costing managed inside your QuickBooks Online file
- Are shopping primarily on price and want the cheapest option available
- Want bookkeeping done in real time, the same day transactions happen

What it’s actually like to work with us
My struggles with finding the right team to help with my bookkeeping needs ended when I got in touch with AdminBooks. The team is extremely responsive and they understand your requirements with the right suggestions and advice. They offer a bunch of services to suit your needs and the best part is they do not overcharge.
AdminBooks has been an essential part of my business for well over a decade. Their friendly, helpful service and deep tax knowledge is an invaluable resource. Highly recommend for bookkeeping and tax services.
I really appreciate this entire group. They are thorough, responsive, easy to work with, and exceptionally personable and friendly. Tax season is admittedly one of the most stressful seasons for our family, and this group eases that stress immensely.
Pricing & service questions, answered
If you’re trying to figure out whether we’re worth the investment, these are the questions most prospects ask us.
$650 is our minimum because it reflects the actual work and expertise required to keep your books accurate every month: reconciliations, categorization, financial reporting, an annual file assessment, and direct access to an Account Manager who knows your business.
We’ve chosen not to offer a bare-bones discount tier because we’ve found that “cheap bookkeeping” usually creates expensive cleanup work later. Our pricing reflects what it actually costs to do bookkeeping the right way.
The main factor is transaction volume. The more bank and credit card activity your business generates each month, the more time we spend categorizing, reconciling, and reviewing. Complexity matters too: multiple bank accounts, multiple entities, sales tax filings, and a high number of 1099 contractors all add work.
We’ll quote you a fair, fixed monthly rate after our free consultation so there are no surprises.
Honest answer: we sit in roughly the same price range as most national virtual bookkeeping services, which typically run $300 to $700+ per month depending on your transaction volume and the plan you choose.
What’s different is what you actually get for that price:
You work directly with a real, accessible team. Many large virtual services rotate clients between bookkeepers or route everything through chat-based portals. You’ll know your Account Manager by name and have a direct email line to them with a 2-business-day response commitment.
Your books live in QuickBooks Online, not a proprietary platform. Some national services keep your data inside their own software, which means if you ever leave, your historical records can be difficult or impossible to take with you. We work in QBO, which you own. If you ever leave us, your books leave with you.
Our bookkeeping and tax teams are under one roof. Many services do bookkeeping only, which means you’re still hiring a separate CPA who isn’t talking to your bookkeeper. Our teams work together year-round, so your books are tax-ready and your tax strategy is informed by accurate numbers.
We’ve been doing this since 2001. Several of the larger national services have changed ownership, gone through acquisitions, or had service disruptions in recent years. We’re a stable, established firm with clients who’ve been with us for over a decade.
If price alone is the deciding factor, there are cheaper options out there, including overseas or hourly-rate providers. We’re not the cheapest, but we believe we’re priced fairly for the level of expertise and personal service we provide.
Not the day-to-day work, no. We don’t actively invoice your customers, chase payments, or pay your bills on your behalf. That kind of active AR/AP management is best handled inside your business.
What we do is the detail work behind the scenes: reviewing and reconciling the prior month’s transactions, matching invoices to payments, accepting bank transactions, and categorizing everything correctly. This is called historical bookkeeping, and it’s what gives you accurate monthly financials without the cost of a full-time in-house bookkeeper.
If your transaction volume is low and you’ve been handling deposits, invoicing, and bill pay yourself, you can keep doing that. Our team can even train you on the fastest way to manage those tasks and set up reports inside QuickBooks Online that show which bills need to be paid. We’ll handle the coding and reconciliation; you keep control of the cash flow.
That’s exactly what our Bookkeeping Cleanup service is for. We’ll start with a free written assessment to see how far behind you are and what it’ll take to get caught up. From there, we give you a clear, fixed quote before any cleanup work starts.
Once your books are current, we move into ongoing monthly or quarterly bookkeeping.
That’s fine. We migrate clients from QuickBooks Desktop, Wave, FreshBooks, Xero, and even spreadsheets all the time. Migration starts at $345 and the final cost depends on your current platform and how much data needs to move over.
We work exclusively in QuickBooks Online because it’s the most reliable platform for the kind of collaborative, real-time bookkeeping we provide. It also lets our bookkeeping and tax teams work together on your file seamlessly.
By the 25th of every month. You’ll receive a complete P&L, Balance Sheet, and other standard reports for the prior month, along with a Loom video walking you through what the numbers mean.
If we need clarification on anything during the close, we’ll reach out. We treat reports as something you should actually understand, not just receive.
We work with outside CPAs all the time, and we also have our own in-house tax team if you’d like everything under one roof. Either way, we make sure your books are tax-ready by year-end, with journal entries reflected and financials reconciled.
If you use our tax team too, our bookkeeping and tax sides collaborate year-round, so there are no surprises at filing time.
QuickBooks Certified Level 2 (formerly known as Advanced ProAdvisor) is the highest level of QuickBooks Online certification Intuit offers. To earn it, our team has to pass advanced exams covering complex bookkeeping scenarios, QBO functionality, and accounting standards. It isn’t a one-time test either, the credential requires ongoing continuing education every year to keep.
Practically speaking, it means two things for you. First, your bookkeeper has been independently verified at the top tier of QBO expertise, not just self-taught. Second, our team stays current as QBO evolves, which matters because the platform changes constantly. Many bookkeeping services hire generalists or use offshore teams without this level of certification, and you often end up paying later to fix issues that come from inexperience with the software.
We do have a service agreement that outlines the scope of work, deliverables, and pricing. The agreement protects both of us by setting clear expectations. It isn’t designed to lock you in.
If our relationship ever isn’t working, you can end it. We’ll help you transition your file cleanly to your next bookkeeper.
Once you’ve had your free consultation and decided to move forward, our typical onboarding takes 2 to 4 weeks depending on the state of your current books. If a cleanup is needed first, that timeline extends based on scope.
The first conversation is the only thing standing between you and a clear answer on timing.
