What are your business hours?

How do I upload my documents to the portal?

How long does it take to complete my return?

-If you have your documents uploaded and the tax organizer completed before our deadline, it will be 2-3 weeks. If it is during the middle of tax season, it will likely be 4-5 weeks.


Where do I check my refund status?

-You can use the online IRS Where’s My Refund Tool linked here: IRS Where's My Refund?


What are the steps to give AdminBooks my tax documents and organizer?

-Upload ALL of your tax documents to your client portal.

-Email taxes@adminbooks.com to let us know you have completed uploading documents. (If you have more documents you have not received, please hold off until you are completely finished).

-We will send you the link to complete our tax organizer.


What do I do if I receive an IRS notice?

-Upload your tax notice to your client portal and email taxes@adminbooks.com to let us know that you received an IRS notice and that it is in your vault.


How do I upload my documents without a scanner?

-There’s an app available on Android and iPhone called CamScanner. You just take a picture of your documents, and it will convert it to a pdf!


When will I be charged for tax preparation?

-If you decide to meet with your tax preparer to go over your return, you will be charged that day or the following day. If you choose not to meet with your preparer, you will be charged the day your e-file forms and rough draft return are sent to you.


Where’s the tax organizer located?

-The tax organizer link will be sent to you once you have successfully uploaded ALL of your tax documentation.


When do I meet with my tax professional to view my return?

-After your return goes through our quality control process, our Billing Admin will send you an email with tax package options. Once you have chosen a package that includes a review meeting, our Tax Admin will send you a link to schedule your Tax Return Review Meeting.


I’ve forgotten my SmartVault password, what do I do?

-SmartVault has a “Can’t Sign In?” button on the login screen to reset your password. AdminBooks does not have control over resetting your password.


What account will you charge for payment? 

-For an individual return, we will process payment using the ACH information under the "Payment Authorization Form -Personal Tax Return" portion of your tax organizer. For a business return, we will process payment using the ACH information under the "Payment Authorization Form -Business Tax Return" portion. 


What happens if my payment is not processed successfully due to any of the following reasons: insufficient funds, closed bank account, accidentally mistyping routing and/or account number when filling out the organizer, etc? 

-This will result in a returned check with a bounce fee.

 

Where do I make my Federal & California tax payments online? What if I am paying by check?

-For online payments: IRS payment link: https://www.irs.gov/payments CA Franchise Tax Board payment link:  https://www.ftb.ca.gov/pay/index.html

-If you are paying by check, there will be vouchers included in your tax return that you can print off and send in. The address will be on the vouchers.
