Are You in Debt?

Over the years, I have seen a variety of businesses with all sorts of financial situations.

Unfortunately, a common thread is credit card debt .

Credit card companies purposefully increase your limit in hopes that you will send in a payment late, go over your credit limit and not pay attention to the percentage rate that they charge. They offer incentives and rewards to lure you into their programs. They receive 31% of their profits from fees they collect.

Common Factors Amongst People with Credit Card Debt

  • Those with credit card debt do not have a SPENDING PLAN.  YOU need to TELL YOUR MONEY WHERE TO GO instead of having your money tell you what is left over. Having a “zero-base budget” lets you know how much money you need for the basics and beyond; cut out what is not needed and learn to live within your means.
  • 40% of people in financial trouble do not balance their check book. BALANCE your CHECK BOOK!

Doing these simple things with discipline can change your financial situation today!

A good resource that I have found is Dave Ramsey

They offer seminars and 9-week financial classes that will change the way you view debt and give practical ways to eliminate it.

The Bible has thousands of verses that can teach us the basics of how to spend, save, earn and invest money, as well as get out of debt. People with Credit Card Debt.

Here are a few of our favorites:

  • If you have not been faithful in the use of worldly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? Luke 16:11
  • The way of the fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel. Proverbs 12:15
  • Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds. Proverbs 27:23
  • The rich rule over the poor and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave. Proverbs 22:7
  • Steady plodding brings prosperity; hasty speculation brings poverty. Proverbs 21:5
