Not in an accounting office. In 1996, Renee Daggett’s husband ran a general contracting business, and Renee became the default bookkeeper, no training, no clue, just a copy of QuickBooks and a tax deadline bearing down. She figured it out the hard way.
A few years in, their own tax preparer told her those were the best books he’d ever seen from a client, and asked her to train his other clients. In 2003, working from her kitchen table, she turned that into AdminBooks.
